Streaming until 3rd November

This Tuesday, 21st of September will mark 15 years since Terry Pratchett's Wintersmith novel was published. Join us by celebrating this as we relive Steeleye Span's Wintersmith 2013 Concert.

Born from their friendship with Terry Pratchett, their musical Interpretation of his novel provided them with a gateway to a magical world, allowing the band to explore familiar themes in the company of a new set of characters - all of whom allow Steeleye to delve into the darker side of their music.

Filmed in Salisbury in 2013, this Wintersmith Concert captures all the magic from the album - especially fitting as Pratchett was in the audience and joined them on stage. A special moment that captured a meeting of creative minds.

This stream will feature the concert filmed in Salisbury in 2013, and be followed up by a Live Zoom Question and Answer session with Maddy Prior, Terry Pratchett's longterm friend and manager Rob Wilkins, and past and present Steeleye members Peter Knight, Julian Littman and Liam Genockey. They'll be answering your questions and reminiscing on the creation and adaptation of the Wintersmith album and what it was like to work with the late great Sir Terry. (Speak his name...)

Concert is 83 minutes in length, Zoom Q & A lasts 30 minutes.

Please note that this stream is the same concert recording that is available on the Wintersmith DVD.
